I’ve started dreaming up how I want my front porch to look for the spring season. Once that calendar hits March 1, I’m officially getting started on updates! If you look at my porch today, you can see why. It needs some fun and color.

The nice thing is there is a lot of space. There is room to switch things out seasonally and have some fun with the decor. The chairs I built last year will definitely stay and I’ll design around them.
I really enjoyed putting together my spring wish list! (Affiliate links below.)
Spring Plants and Planters
Of course, with spring I wanted to add some flowers. However, it’s tricky with knowing when frost is officially over. I love picking out faux flowers sometimes for my wreaths and planters. This is especially true when dealing with changing temperatures, which can spell trouble for me keeping plants alive.
I thought for spring it would be fun to do something a little different. I’m going to try out a hanging basket wreath instead of a traditional wreath. I’m going to attempt to DIY it. Here’s an option I found on Etsy. The seller provides the baskets. You can then arrange the florals. I will most likely use fake flowers for ease and longevity.

I’m also going to get some faux spring-like flowers to add to existing pots that I have. In my mind, nothing says spring quite like tulips. I found these tulips from Grandin Road that I think are lovely.

I really like this basket filler from Grandin Road as well. The nice thing about these is that they can be reused year after year. You just need to have a place to store them.

I want some basket style planters for some of my plants. I found this one from Lowes that is designed to be outdoors.

Spring Porch Side Tables
I’ve been on the hunt for a side table or accent stool to put in between the two chairs I have on the porch. I’ve found three great options.
I love the honeycomb pattern on this table from Wayfair.

I love the stone look of this neutral table from Frontgate.

But this one is probably my favorite and the one I’ll end up choosing. It’s from West Elm and has the concrete look with some additional uniqueness with the fluting.

Spring Porch Decor Items
I’ve been wanting to add some sort of lanterns to the front porch. I found a couple of options from West Elm that I think are unique.
I like these wicker globes, which I think is a nice texture for spring.

But I probably like these modern lanterns even more! I think these will work year round.

In addition, this spring I’d like to update the carriage lights on the front of my house. My current lights aren’t awful, but I think even a small change like this can go a long way. I love these lights that I found on Wayfair.
